Found Rose, Gallica / Provins.
Bloom:
Deep pink, lighter reverse, ages to lilac . Average diameter 3.5". Double (17-25 petals), in small clusters bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Tall. Large, dark green foliage.
Height: up to 5' (up to 150cm).

Inflorescence: in three's, to date. Pedicel: glandular. Receptacle: Smooth Sepals: glandular Leaf: deep green. Large, long, oval. pointed Stipule: Glandular. Rachis turning red in the stipule area. Prickles: Initially thornless. One cane has developed long, slightly curved prickles. Canes New growth color: Green, taking on red tints on the top 1 foot. Long and straight canes. Hip sets hips. Hip retains a portion of green colour, whilst most of the hip turns red (in the same manner as ‘Russelliana’ colouring). Disease None. Strikes easily.

Asta von Parpart - too prickly Gilda - reverse is too pale 'Nestor' - deeper centres, light green leaves 'Anacreon' - three possible versions. Little to go on. 'Ohl' - button eye 'Soleil Brillant' 'Surpasse Tout'
