Origin:
Bred by Philippe Vandermaelen (Belgium, before 1836).
Introduced in United States by Ellwanger and Barry, Mount Hope Nurseries in 1887 as 'Extensa'.
Class:
Hybrid suffruticosa.  
Bloom:
Light pink, purple flecks.  Average diameter 9".  Large, single to semi-double bloom form.
