Bridal Pink does well in alkaline clay soil, but the bush has needle-like thorns. Since it's a florist rose, the leaves are very thin, and bunnies like to eat them. It smells good in bud-form at cool temp, but the scent is gone at hot temp and fully opened. This rose is NOT recommended for gardens with animals - they'll devour all the leaves.

This is an excellent garden rose, behaving like a typical florabunda in the garden, not like a hybred tea, which is sometimes can look like when grown under glass for the florest's trade. It has been my wife's favorite rose since she was in high school and worked in her father's flower shop,
