I must admit that the rugosas have captured my heart.and this one is a little darling.These roses have every quality one could possibly want in a rose plant. having so few preferences and giving so much in return. Lush growth, repeat flowering , decorative and useful hips and beautiful autumn colours. And not the least a wondeful scent. Besides no other roses seem to tolerate the often strong and salty winds from the North Sea that pester my garden every so often like these do.Henry Hudson is a number one. It even sports a few suckers every now and then just enough to give away to friends and neighbours. And yes - I have also kept one for myself.
