"Bishop's Lodge Sydney Linton" is showing a consistent tendency to produce blooms with more than five sepals. This - with eight sepals -is the most typical example. Sevens are also common, as are blooms with sepals that have partially developed as a petal. We noted a large number of these blooms in Spring but it seems to be a common feature of the rose in other seasons as well - these photos were taken in December 2009 (Summer) Perth, Western Australia.
