Hiawatha - No 31 from 1912 Wills's Cigarette Rose Cards (set of 50 cards).
Text on reverse:
HIAWATHA.
(Wichuraiana).
This, as the name implies, is an American rose, and was introduced into this country in 1905. For arches, pillars, or pergolas it is magnificent, and being late flowering it maybe planted side by side with an early flowering variety, to prolong the flowering period of the arch or bower. Very hardy and strong growing, should be sparingly pruned.
