August 4, 2008. Olympia, WA. The red edging on Double Delight is a product of exposure to direct sun. In our climate, Double Delight tends to have little red on it except in late summer when there's more sun. Early summer flowers can be almost all yellow with just a trace of red on the edges, due to our cloudy, overcast climate.
