My very first rose: Stunning fragrance, great color and shape, prolific bloomer, disease resistant, and compact growth. There appear to be two cultivars on the market, the "classic" one which can be recognized by its red-edged ruffles and a second which has uniformly mauve colored petals. While the former bush is not as vigorous as the latter, the blooms are much more enjoyable. If you can have *only one* rose in the garden (or a container), this is it.
