Hedge at Crop Diversification Centre South, Brooks, Alberta, Canada fall 2007. The pole is an old 12 foot long surveyor's tool. The hedge extends approximately 100 yards providing wind protection for perennial beds. There are three distinctly different clones in the hedge. One has very strong paired hooked prickles, one is nearly thornless and the other is intermediate with medium sized straight prickles. Very few bristles are apparent on any of them.
