ETOILE DE HOLLANDE
(Hybrid Tea)
Introduced 1919
Rich dark red.
This is the most popular red Rose that we have, and rightly so, as its popularity is justified by its delightful fragrance, hardiness, good colour and habit. The well-shaped buds open out to large blooms of vivid colouring. It is a strong sturdy grower with dark green foliage, and an idea] garden or bedding variety. In the late autumn it is sometimes liable to mildew which can be kept in check by spraying. It requires moderate pruning to three or four eyes the last week in March. It makes a fine Standard.
