FRAU KARL DRUSCHKI
(Hybrid Perpetual)
Introduced 1900
Snow-white.
Probably the finest white Rose we have. It is of strong and upright growth, and suitable for growing as an exhibition or garden variety. If required to produce exhibition blooms, it must be pruned very hard, right down to the ground, the second week in March each year, and only three or four shoots allowed to mature. If grown for garden purposes, it should be moderately pruned, when it will quickly make a big bush. It has a habit of throwing five or six buds in a cluster. To get good blooms they should be removed in the young stage and only the centre bud allowed to remain. It has one defect—it is scentless.
