It's so lush and beautiful, Gean! Amazing what a ton of water and moisture retentive soil can accomplish. I'm envious! There is no way there could be enough water on this hot, dry hill to create anything resembling your gorgeous garden.

Thank you for the kind words, Kim. Your 'Lynnie' is in the top right - it is a bright red here and lovely 'Lauren' is in the bottom right; it is such a gorgeous purple. 'Little Butterfly' is out of the line of sight in this photo, but it has a lot of buds that should pop soon. I can't wait to post some pictures of it in a week or so.
I potted the 'LynnPoO' cuttings you sent me up to 1 gallons this afternoon - I am going to make a little hedge of them. One has bloomed - love it, Kim! Thank you so much for the roses you've bred.

You're welcome! How fun you grow so many of my "children". Lynpoo has now earned her proper name. She is to be christened "Porcelain Rose" and is to be introduced by Long Ago Roses. I believe she has the first plants nearly ready. You're the first to actually grow her in a garden other than her birthplace!

I am truly honored, Kim. I love its new name, although I'll have trouble getting the sound of 'lin-pooh' out of my mind, lol. Incidentally, I planted two 'Pookahs' the other day as well from the cuttings you sent. They haven't bloomed yet but are going gangbusters...

Thanks! I think you'll really enjoy Pookah. Think healthier, much more frequently, continuously flowering, darker colored Ballerina with a much sturdier, more easily controlled plant. As you've seen, it roots like crazy and may even be useful as a root stock, in case you decide you want to try budding anything. It is definitely a hybrid multiflora, as is Ballerina, and studying it gives an excellent lesson about how polyanthas inherited their characteristics. I love those massive flower heads. The thought just hit me, Pookah is like a pink, single form of Lauren as they both flower and grow very similarly. They should as they are both darker colored, continuous flowering multiflora hybrids. I'll look forward to seeing your "baby pictures" of how they behave for you. Thank you!
