Abbé Bramérel seems to like winter (the mild ones here at least). He started producing lots of buds in December but it was too cold then and in January for them to open. Now its February and the show begins! Last year he started blooming in January before he had any leaves! The blooms are a magical blend of reddish smokey purple that continually confounds all attempts by my camera to capture. Mother plant purchased from Eurodesert Roses in May 2011.
