Gruss an Teplitz  rose photo courtesy of member StrawChicago Alkaline clay 5a

Gruss as own-root has a higher need for potassium. 1st year leaves have yellowish veins like RMV (rose mosaic virus). I gave it sulfate of potash, and that disappear in later years. Picture taken as 1st year own-root to show RMV-look-alike, but it's actually potassium deficiency induced by too much calcium (gypsum) and compact clay.
