Hi Cori Ann, How large is Homer for you by now? I’m still very interested in getting it and thought maybe by now you might have a little more thoughts on Homere’s eventual size and shape. I know he will love my hot and dry garden, thanks to you. Thanks, Lisa

Hi Lisa. It has only been in my yard for about a year or so, so I wouldn’t be able to accurately say how big it may get, but mine is about 3-4 feet by 3-4 feet so far. It has been almost constantly in bloom for me. :-)

According to the Tea Rose book (which quoted the Rose Annual of 1940) in favourable conditions it can grow huge in time.

There are pictures that Patricia posted of it growing right up the side of Staplefield church, just like a climber. http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=21.179901

Thanks, that is quite huge! Larger than what I have space for. Back to the drawing board!

Hi Cori-Ann!
Absolutely lovely pictures! When you get a moment, could you comment on the fragrance please? Do you think that he could deal with high humidity as well as heat? Thanks much!

Hi! I detect a faint fragrance, but not much so far. I'm not so sure how it would do with humidity since we have very little, but I bought mine from Rose Petals Nursery way over in FL so I'm sure they would be good people to ask! It has been reported to ball and never fully open in some climates, just not mine! :-)

Oh, that sounds like my Amazing Grace experiences in my humidity, but great in yours. Thanks again for your thoughts, have a great weekend!
