This little fellow, perched on the bowl, follows me around and eats the stinging March flies off my legs. Two days ago he came up and sat on my shoes and then pecked at my holey woolly socks. Now I know why. There is a neat new nest in a fork of 'General Schablikine'.

The Great Southern (bed). Oct 1, 2023. A neighbour kindly gave me a small bucket of Magprill (magnesium) to try. For once I was methodical and applied it to the southern rows of two garden beds. Here are the southern rows, on the left, of The Great Southern bed and although it is early days yet, I think I see a difference
