Hi there,
I would like to get several roses and thought you might know if they do well in florida. I live on the central west coast of florida. Do you grow Hocus Pocus, Rosie O'Donnel, Rosarium Ueteresen, or Hot Cocoa? I was at a rose show today where I saw a Hocus Pocus that was a beautiful rusty red, not red and yellow striped as I have seen on different sites. I see you have Julia's Rose, how does that do for you? I am trying to find disease resistant roses, I do not want to spray.
I have heard that if you grow a variety of plants and herbs with the roses they are less prone to disease and pest problems. What is your take on that? Thanks!!

Hi,
We grow all of the one's you've spoken of and you will have to spray them as they are prone to BS (black spot). Julia's Rose is a slow grower and not disease free by any means either.

We tried growing full gardens with our roses and it didn't make much difference. If disease free is what your after then I would like into more of the newer varieties such as Knock Out.
