Damascena portlandica bifera. A feuilles crispées, beautiful, little fragrance. Pink, 2 in., quite full, plate-form. The tip of each leaf is rolled down and inwards, such that, the plant is full of small hanging rings, giving a curious look.

Léda, alias blanc bordée de rouge, prächtig, mit gutem Geruche.
Blumenkrone weiss; die Blumenblätter sind von aussenmit einem karminrothen Streife eingefasst, zwischen 1 und 2 Zoll breit, gefüllt, platt, doch mit etwas abwärts gerollten Blättern gebaut.

Milk-white, center somewhat pink, mild Tea-like fragrance, top of petals rounded in heart-shape, quite double. Thorns frequent, often in pairs, brown.

Gallica...Aigle noir double - aigle brun - aquila nigra. Magnificent, good fragrance. The purple-red base is fully shaded with blue ash, 3 ½ inches, double.

Tea roses:
Alba. very beautiful, good fragrance.
Tender milk-white, the outer petals often spotted and stained carmine-red, with almost indiscernible fragrance, 2 1/4 in., more than semi-double. Petals are almost circular, The globular bloom often proliferates another bud, which does not like expanding, out of her center. Pistil and stamens often white, instead of yellow. Pedicel rough, short, without prickles. Leaflets 1 in. long, 1/2 in. wide, ovoid, pointed and serrated.
