Although 'Old Blush' appears to be related to 'Hermosa', it does not appear to be as closely related to 'Hermosa' as 'Burbank', which has 'Hermosa' as one of its parents. This implies that the suggested parentage of 'Hermosa' is incorrect. Although 'Old Blush' may be in the 'Hermosa' ancestry, it is not a parent of 'Hermosa'.

"Phillips and Rix Climber" ...a pink China climber of unknown parentage, was collected by authors Roger Phillips and Martyn Rix during a botanical tour of China and was presented to the Sacramento Historic Rose Garden. It blooms once in April in California, and is very similar to 'Climbing Old Blush'. The main differences are a lack of rebloom and the robust, very vigorous growth. It appears to be closely related to 'Old Blush'.

"San Juan Settler", a found rose collected in San Juan Batista State Historic Park, was found to be 'La Reine'.
