François I started his nursery in 1930. In the 40's François Dorieux met Francis Meilland who coaxed him to become a breeder. The first rose 'Floralies Valenciennoises' was introduced 1954.
François II (son of Jean, and grandson of Francois 1) hybridized for Roseraies Dorieux.
