[From the website www.forloveofroses.com] Richard is a national level exhibitor with 128 Queens to his credit along with 7 National Challenge Classe Trophies. He is also a Master Consulting Rosarian, an accredited ARS Horticultural Judge and a long time member of the ARS Miniature & Miniflora committee and a member of the ARS Exhibitors Committee. He is also the District Director of the ARS Tenarky District which includes Arkansas, Kentucky and Tennessee. He is a frequent presenter at the National and District level on various rose topics including Hybridizing, Exhibiting Rose Heads Only and New Roses. He has registered 26 roses to date including the miniature roses ‘Dr Gary Rankin’, ‘Robin’s Star’, ‘Star of Night’, ‘Richard H Hughes’ and ‘Striking’ plus minifloras ‘Abigail Elise’, ‘Brenna Bosch’, City of Torrance’, ‘Evening Star’, ‘Julie Hearne’, ‘Mega Ty’, ‘Not First Choice’, ‘Rosemarie’, ‘Tom Mayhew’ and Floribundas ‘Emily Nicole’ and ‘Margaret May’ plus the Hybrid Tea ‘Dr Monica Valentovic’. He will soon be registering the Miniflora rose Samantha Tai which is being named in honor of his future Daughter In Law.
