A biography of James Bailey, rose hybridizer, is presented. He was born in 1940 in Alpine, Texas, pursued higher education but pursued a career as steamfitter in Texas until his retirement in 2011. He married Linda Cluey in 1961 and bore three children whose names were given to three hybrids 'Marvin Bailey,' 'Bill Bailey,' and 'Margie Bailey.' He settled in Florida where he joined and served as president of the local Pasco Rose Society.

Today, James Bailey's profile is missing.

An incorrect photo is still listed. Bill Bailey alternates a photo of Marvin Bailey ( red ) with the correct photo. My time is very limited, so I am not inclined to spend any more time working on this site until I know that the data I enter can be depended upon.

First, please be sure to sign in properly when you visit HMF - note your latest comments are listed under "anonymous". When you visit HMF, your guest id appears in the upper right. If it shows you as anonymous then you need to sign in. You should not have to sign in every visit unless you have explicitly turned off HMF's "auto-sign in" feature or security software on your PC is blocking "cookies".

We do not understand your comment about Mr. Bailey's "profile" missing. The Profile tab of his listing includes different information - specifically what information do you feel is missing .

The photos of Mr. Bailey's roses you submitted were manually moved to the appropriate rose pages so they could be best and most accurately featured. We used the comments you posted in each photo to know which photo belonged to which rose listing.

Please note for the two photos you have referenced your photo comments indicate they are both photos of 'Rosa Bill Bailey'. If you care to correct your photo comments we will be happy to move the photo in error.

This will be my last response. I submitted photos correctly. They appeared on the site as I submitted them. I sent the link to several folks who also viewed the photos as I had submitted them. They were correct at that time. There is now an error which has apparently been made on your end, since all was correct when I uploaded it. There had been a lot of "moving around", and not by me.

Unfortunately, I don't have time available to work out these problems.

Do not send me any further messages.

We are sorry you are having difficulty using HelpMeFind and we would be happy to help you resolve these issues. We apologize if it was not made clear that individual plant photos should be uploaded to the appropriate plant listing and HMF would automatically link them the the breeder's listing. The upload form for the breeder listing does display a well highlighted message indicating it is intended for photos of the breeder only.

As such, your photos were not uploaded in accordance with HMF procedures but we were happy to make the corrections for you in addition to making a software change so providing a link to Mr. Bailey's listing would include all your photos as you desired.

The only problem left to work out would be for you to correct your original photo comments of the photo you indicated was of 'Rosa Bill Bailey' but is instead 'Marvin Bailey'. We would be happy to move that photo to the correct rose listing too. We believe that should resolve all of your issues with your photos.

Please understand the reason for having you upload the rose photos to the appropriate rose listing is to allow us to establish the computer link between the rose listing and your photo of that rose. Without that link, the individual rose listings would be missing your photos and site guests would only see your photos if they happened to visit Mr. Bailey's breeder listing. When the photos are uploaded using the correct HMF procedure you get the maximum exposure as they are featured on both Mr. Bailey's listing and the individual rose pages. Our efforts from the beginning were for your benefit.
