[From www.welt-der.rosen-de] Dr. Eckart Haenchen ist the grandson of Victor Teschendorff. He started breeding roses in 1963 after joining the family nursery. In 1972 the operation was nationalized as VEG Baumschulen Dresden, but Dr. Haenchen remained as responsible for rose breeding. The roses listed under breeder VEG (S) Baumschulen Dresden will have been bred by Dr. Haenchen.
