p110. Christine Mackenzie. Where Do Our Trophies Come From?
Iris Gee Challenge Trophy. 1 large stem. Roger Gee was responsible for the rose 'Iris Gee' which he found on his bush of 'Liverpool Echo'. He budded and grew this sport rose and named it after his wife, Iris. Roger and Iris both enjoyed their roses. They worked well together and looked lovely staging roses. Roger was a good demonstrator at pruning demonstrations, those days at Pollard Park. He had a favourite fine saw which he treasured.
