Send a Private Message to HelpMeFind member - The Doctor - who added the photo. He used to be a partner in the Roses and Friends Nursery.
I have no idea if the nursery is still operating or not, but you could write to them at
881 Nowra Road, Fitzroy Falls NSW 2577.

Hello Mick Burgess,
The only way we can get more plants of 'Adam Burgess' (HORurbane), is to take budwood (cuttings off of a known plant- yours, for example), and I can organize some to be grown from said cuttings. Give me a call on 0457721977 and I'll tell you how we can go about it.
Sorry I haven't been in touch. I was persona non grata after Sue passed away, and I retired from the nursery. Currently living at Laurieton on the mid north coast. Nice to hear from you. Hope all is well with you.

sincerely,
Steve Beck.

Many thanks for taking the time Steve,
so pleased that you are well and starting a new chapter in your life...has the Nursery been closed???......I have taken so long to finally follow up, as I was saddened to hear about Sue from Denis Dempsey. I am not a rose expert and was going to try and read how to propagate from cuttings, just thought I would throw at the stumps through this platform, in case a nursery had some. If you don't mind I will give you a call on the week end, or if you prefer will see if Denis can do for me?
Take care my good man and wish you all the very best for the future.
Warmest Respect and Regards
Mick B

I understand the nursery is still functioning. For warm weather cuttings, have a look at www.heritageroses dot org dot au/articles/rose-propagation-ziplock-bag-technique/ (replace dot with .). Don't put any labels into the bag with the cuttings.
For rarities you may prefer to have an each-way bet, and get a nursery to bud them for you.

This rose came to me from a friend who got his plant from an Albanian lady who didn't know its name, hence its study name "Albanian Kazanlik". However, after extensive research with nothing to go on except vague descriptions in Trevor Griffiths second book on old roses, I think it could be one of the Russian-bred damasks used in the rose attar industry in countries like Albania and the Ukraine, called "Krasnaya Krimskaya' or 'Red Crimea'. This is guesswork and supposition, as I could find no other references to these roses. Another is called 'Red Kazanlik', If anyone has any further information, please post it here. Thank you.

Not similar (or identical) to Ali Baba. Ali Baba has more substantial flowers in an RHS azalea pink, with dull green leaves. Scent from Heaven is closer to apricot in colour, and has glossy, bronze-tinted foliage.

This rose was named for a retired septuagenarian who loves her roses which she grows with pride and enthusiasm in her small suburban garden. She is a very dear friend and one of the world's most beautiful people who enjoys her quiet retirement and gives of her time as a volunteer for a charity or two.
