This photo is not of "High Hopes", everything, color, form, number of petals, etc., doesn't match High Hope's characteristics of medium pink, double (17-25 petals), high centered bloom form, etc. Someone, somewhere made a mistake somewhere

I don't know how it got labeled High Hopes, as it is a photo of a Kordes climber called Karlsruhe.

Can you please delete it and re-post it under Karlsruhe?

Photo reassigned to 'Karlsruhe' (hybrid kordesii, Kordes, 1957)

because the synonym for High Hopes is Karlesrube, which is almost spelled the same as Karlsruhe ^_^

Please help! How tall will "Courageous" grow in U.S. zone 6? The vendor's web site says it's a small climber, similar to "Westerland", which grows to 9-10 feet (3 meters) in my garden. However HMF says it is much shorter, growing to only about 4 feet (1.2 meters). Which is it? Also, how good is its bloom/rebloom cycle? Is it in constant bloom (always showing blooms), in 4 or more distinct flushes, or only two or three times per season. I would like to place this rose to grow over 1/2 of a trellis which surrounds a bench in the front of my garden ("Viking Queen" grows on the other half). I would like a very fragrant red rose which is a heavy bloomer, having blooms for a good part of the season (late May-Mid Nov. here). Will this rose fit the requirements? Thanks for any input, MPAgent.

Despite J & P's claims that it has "good disease resistance", this rose is a black spot magnet!  Of the more than 150 different rose cultivars I grow, Change of Heart are the ONLY ones that have BS, despite my spray regimen.  They not only have BS, they are covered with it!  I'm bringing out the shovel!

Indeed, in the two seasons I tried to grow the plant from a bare root, it could never keep any leaves on it because of endless black spot infections. It has been 'retired' now, which is unfortunate since I love roses exhibiting reverse coloring.
