My rose collection ranges between 500-600 differenct named roses, most kept in containers in the foothills behind Standford University in California. Although growing roses for over 50 years, I only got semi serious about 2004 when I put up a large deer fence. (Deer are so agressive in this area that they will climb stairs to a second floor terrace and eat the roses at their leisure.)

Originally, my collection was limited to antique/early roses
