hello!i posted in french because the photo description was in french, but i'm more than happy to ask again in english.i want to know a bit more about this rose, like growth habit, can it be trained as a climber, how often does it repeat-bloom,can it stand heat, does it do well in full sun,how different is it,for instance from louise odier, another bourbon, that i grow as a climber and that has given me three flushes/year so far.do the flowers last long?is it rain-resistant?i hope people don't find my questions annoying, but i find that it's more useful to get inside information about a rose from ordinary rose growers, not necessarily from catalogues, for instance, crimson glory is listed by a famous rose breeder as giving little repeat, but mine ,in its second year, mind you,has been blooming away all summer,a few valiant flowers in the 35 degrees celsius summer heat, plus two major flushes in late may and late september.thank you

This rose would appear not to have been sold in the USA or not recently. The Vintage Gardens Book of Roses has no entry for it. There is an entry in The Old Rose Advisor, 1992, in which Brent Dickerson quotes the Journal des Roses to the effect that it is "beautifully colored flesh pink", which would not seem to describe the color of the rose pictured on HMF.

In case you have access to the Journal de Roses, the citation is JR16/153.

Bonjour,
