This rambler is doing very well in my garden. Does not look like parent Veilchenblau and may not get as tall but is a gorgeous color and lovely bloom. No diseases to speak of and since we do not know the other parent cross it is hard to know how it is going to do in a few years. But so far a lovely plant.

When four members comment that the photograph is perhaps not correct, it might be nice if the photographer replied just why it IS that of the correct rose.

I believe it is the photograph itself which portrays a different tint. This is a little misleading to members who are meeting 'Pope John Paul II' for the first time. However, I would like to point out that member Gabriel has added white photos of this rose in 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, and 2016.

This rose was brought by a friend who grows it. Can be quite tall and does tolerate some shade. Do not know parentage but a lovely upright grower and nice color. Lasts long in a vase.

Very possibly this is Paulii Rosea and it does have a listing in another place on Helpmefind. BarbaraNZ

That is very probable, we will move this photo there - any case it is not an "alba".
