Just a suggestion, but it would be nice to have - for lack of a better term - a "on its way" list: somewhere to keep track of plants you have on order and are waiting to receive. It seems to me that such a thing is better suited to a list than a journal entry and is distinct from a wish list, both of which I've used to try and keep track.

What about if you list the roses in your garden (you will have to name the beds with short permanent names first) and show them in placement order (example: kitchen-N-rear) down the page. Then instead of the site, you could temporarily type in: ordered Jan 6 from …Joe Bloggs. That way you can plan what rose for what site, prepare the hole in the meantime – and best of all, this listing will enable you, when you are 93, to recall the name of all your roses. It is simple when you use the rule: The very next rose in the bed goes on the next line.

Another excellent member suggestion !
Now we just need more HMF site guests to become premium members so we can afford to implement these ideas.

Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I'm pretty sure that when looking at the Journals tab under New/Recent, I shouldn't be able to edit and upload photos to entries that aren't my own...

I've had this rose since spring 2009, and I'm noticing a trend with it. It's supposed to be a yellow blending to red-orange, but despite being in a location with more than enough sun to get gorgeous multihued blooms off the Sheila's Perfume right next to it... it's yellow. Sometimes it has pink edges, or it has a stripe of pinky-red where the bud was showing color for a few days, but for the most part, it's just yellow.
I'm going to try moving it to a sunnier spot this spring to see if the color shows up better, but so far, I am not impressed.
