I'm very pleased with Julia Child rose so far. I just planted mine a few months ago. They didn't do much for a couple of months while they settled in, but they now have plenty of new growth, and a very nice flush on them, about 20-25 flowers each. I think this is the best flush I've ever gotten from a rose so newly planted. The foliage looks clean, healthy, and attractive, too. They had some blackspot when I got them from the nursery, but the newer foliage shows no trace of it, with no spray. And the fragrance is wonderful.

I'm in California, just outside the Central Valley -- zone 9. The summers here are hot and dry, the winters mild with occasional short dips to just a little below freezing.

My favorite nursery (It's A Jungle) in Austin, Texas highly recommended this rose to me.
