Amazing! 67 years of experience! You must be in your late 70's to mid 80's by now, right? I have 23 years worth of rose experience now that I'm only in my mid thirties because I started when I was 13! I have prior plant experience to roses before age 13, but I'm so impressed! I have prior plant experience to roses before age 13 too.

Unless a sport, definitely incorrect variety based upon colour and style of bloom.

You are entitled to your opinion. However, this rose did have the ID Tag still upon it and has been classified as such by Master Rosarians in my area. I personally have over 40 years of rose growing experience in my home state of Colorado and was a Master Rosarian with the ARS. I am now an emeritus consulting rosarian wit the ARS. You may email me if so desired.

Maria Callas is carmine, a deep pink red.
I've consulted over five of my own personal reference books and several other sources online. None mention such mutability of colour or that blooms are pale to medium rose pink as is in your picture.
This rose is not the right colour, and so whatever your experience may be, you are entitled to be wrong if you do insist.
Either you should accept that high probability of being incorrect on the identity of this variety, or admit this is a sport, colour error of camera, or personal colour blindness.
I've grown this variety, and it is not pale to medium rose pink.
Due to these facts of the variety, you have as legitimate explanation for why this bloom is the wrong colour or not?

I have taken the photo down to please you. Have a fine day. The rose died three years ago now over winter so no need to hash it over and over.

You didn't take it down to please me your personality and the way you speak to me and about me tells me that. You took it down because you know I'm right because you didn't acknowledge any of the points that I made. Have a fine day and may you find yourself in a more positive place in your life in the future.

Beware the Rose Police! There is one on here with 17 years experience that believes she knows it all about roses. She is posting comments that folks are wrong about a rose being a certain one, even though it may be tagged as such. Your photo looks to have drawn her comment as did one of mine.

If you're talking about me, you can toss off because: 1) I'm a MAN, and more of one than you it would seem, 2) If a variety posted is clearly not a variety as costumes, it deserves to be flagged as such. Mara Callas is not normally a light pink. I'm not the only one that has noted so. Details about imaging or conditions need to be noted, and shame on you for assuming that just because a variety of labelled as something that's what it is because mistakes happen. I'd love to know what makes you the god of credibility and truth. I can PROVE my claim for the normal colouring of this rose from multiple references. I challenge you to find a single legitimate and accredited reference that states Maria Callas/Miss All-American Beauty is ever regularly a light pink like this image.
3) The fact that you went directly to personal insults and an attempt to discredit me shows how little that you would actually know and how little proof that you have to support your claim. Only a truly vile and hateful person would do that. Congratulations!
