These photos of a pink flower are very pretty, but are not of a dark crimson rose with dark purple shading. Is this a rootstock that has taken over?

The roses were purchased from Miloslav Šíp - Růžové a okrasné školky Skaličany (CZ) in August 2011 as Památník Krále Jiřího (King George's Memorial)

Miloslav Šíp has a number of mislabeled roses. This seems to be one. We will delete this from the nursery list.

Thanks for the information. I wonder if anyone can post an original photo of a rose?

I've looked, but can't find any photos or illustrations.

If you know the Czech language, you might have better luck than me searching online. Or you could ask a local librarian for help finding old Eastern European rose catalogues from the 1930's or 1940's?

I wish I could be of more help.
