Hi Shelley,
How does this rose grow for you. What can I expect in way of mature height? Just planted last summer, and although we had a mild winter, it has about 2 feet of live canes to start off the season.

It was from Hortico. It did survive it's first winter. I have it planted in the front bed about 3 or 4 feet from the basement of the house, and mulched it with shredded leaves for the winter, which was pretty good this year. It didn't give a lot of flowers last year, but it was a bare root, so hoping for better this year.

Just wanted to add that I'm pushing the zone limit a bit, as I'm in Zone 4B. Hope to report that it survived the winter next Spring.

When viewing photos. I click on the thumbnail photo to enlarge, and all I see is a large blank box with a red X in the top left corner. I just subscribed as a member, and now I can't see the enlarged pics. I use to before I became a paying member.

Premium membership does not change the photo software in any way so we need to look elsewhere.
Have you made ANY other changes to your computer, any new software or upgrades of any kind. Can you tell us which browser you use, including the version. We have not heard from others with the same problem so it probably is some minor change on your computer. We'll help you find it.
Also, give us a specific example so we can make sure it's not a specific photo(s) problem.

I just tried it again with the same rose I was checking earlier and it seems to be working ok now. Maybe it was just a matter of logging off and on again. Sorry for any bother.

You're welcome. Now if the planting zones could be a little more accurate, that would be great. Most everything I like and look at says zone 6 and up. I have heard that some of these plants can survive lower zones. Maybe the viewing growers just need a little encouragement to let you know if they grow a certain zone 6 plant in a lower zone. I am trying some of these zone 6 plants, and I am in a Canadian zone 4b. I hope to be able to report on them all, that they can survive in a lower zone... that would be great as it would mean my cold winter didn't kill them. :-)

Joan, by all means, please report when plants marked as Zone 6 excel in Zone 4. Many roses enter the database with no hardiness information at all. And none of this address the question of whether the rose is hardy to the tips of the canes, hardy to snow cover, or simply grows back well from the crown each year. Your experience is invaluable.
