This rose ought to have bright clear-pink flowers. Here an off-white flower is shown.

the budwood came from Sangerhausen. I can't tell right now, if the cultivar at Sangerhausen maybe is not correct or if there was made a mistake when cutting the budwood at Sangerhausen. Ihave only two photos of this one. I will check in future and if they are constantly white, we will remove this one. Thanks, Jay-jay

You're most welcome. It's still a nice rose. I stumbled upon this photo, when I was digging in the booklet Rosa Rugosa of Suzanne Verrier.

Yes, I have the book too. But, still, no photo in that book, so no reference again. it stay's difficult, allthough I am quite sure you are right at this photo.

This is about the third year we grow Princess May. Everytime the similarity with Kathleen Harrop strikes me!! It is thornless, same leaves, same growth. The flower of the Princess is slightly darker and a little more filled. But that is only compared by cutting the branches from each variety and put them together. otherwise the small differences are not seen. I got if frome somebody in France. If this princess is the right one, it is for sure a sport of Kathleen Harrop or Zéphirine D. Somebody has any ideas???
