I am a serious rose collector, interested in preserving heritage roses, my favorites definitely being the Moss roses (you could say I am Moss-Crazy!). I also love and collect David Austin English Roses. I would like to collect as many varieties as I possibly can, and luckily I live on a fairly large piece of property. My collection includes some rarer roses, but is fairly small as I have only recently had the resources available to indulge my passion. I have devoured every rose book I can get my hands on and have a special notebook where I have collected notes on varieties, care, and propagation. I successfully propagated roses with cuttings for the first time last year, and am very excited about expanding my abilities, possibly into breeding some new varieties for my own garden and fun. I am a new member of the Nashville Rose Society and am excited to gain experience. I had major back surgery in August 2006 and have only recently been able to handle limited physical tasks, luckily my wonderful husband helps me with digging, mulching and other strenuous labor!
