Thank you. The rose is added. We've changed the date from 2104 to 2014' and changed one of the parents from MACati to MACkati. Was the rose you mentioned MACkati x Deep Secret - 'Blackberry Nip' or a new and separate cross?

Dear Mr. Gray,
I note with interest your article in the 2019 Australian Rose Annual, pages 152-154 on how some of the Brindabella roses are entering the United States market. In particular ‘Brindabella Purple Prince’ being voted the Best New Flowering Plant of Show in Florida. Well done.
However, in light of this, I think it would be of interest if you could at last clarify the parentage of ‘Brindabella Purple Prince’, syn ‘Brindabella Pride’ GRAppl.

You advised us on January 15, 2011 that the parentage for ‘Brindabella Pride’ GRApple was ‘Brindabella Pink Bouquet’ GRAsuper x [‘Old Port’ Mackati x ‘Deep Secret’].

And yet the U.S. Patent 26,364 for GRAppl states the parentage for it was Seedling x GRAsuper - (this pollen parent being ‘Brindabella Pink Bouquet’).

I feel that you may have reversed the parentage in your comment and that it should read
[‘Old Port’ Mackati’ x ‘Deep Secret’] x ‘Brindabella Pink Bouquet’ GRAsuper. Would that be correct?

To Sylvia and John Gray:
On May 28, 2018 you added 'Brindabella Pastel Tiger' to the HelpMeFind database. You have selected that the ARS Registration name is Brindabella Pastel Tiger. A check of the ARS database this morning, May 30, shows that the ARS do not list this rose.

This is the second time that this has happened - also with 'Brindabella Burgundy Tiger' - see my comment for that rose. (I note you have not bothered to respond to that comment.) HelpMeFind does expect more honesty from the breeders who are given breeder's rights to add their own roses to this database!

(Later edit June 11, 2018. Still no Registration name shown by the ARS! This ARS notation deleted from HelpMeFind records for 'Brindabella Pastel Tiger'.)

Hi Patricia,
Thank you for your tip off re the ARS registrations. Actually, I was not aware that the ‘Brindabella Pastel Tiger’ had uploaded - it is still sitting on my ipad ready to hit the save button as is the page with traits for this rose. In my mind they are a work in progress but obviously I am not familiar enough with the way the program works. I am in the process of applying to Warren Millington for GRApstg registration and expect to send him final details tonight and so I this is why I was holding the upload. I have many ARS registrations listed on HMF so why would you think I would suddenly stop. I had a applied for GRAbgtg and thought this was finalised but your email alerts me to the possibility that this got misplaced during the handover to Warren from Laurie. I did not receive any email notification from you at any time to my computer with a message from you. I assure you I ‘do bother’ to reply to questions that come my way.
As for your addressing me curtly, the use of exclamation mark and implied dishonesty, I am offended and would like an apology from you please.

Hi, you already have a breeder tab on your member page. On the breeder tab, there is a further tab named "Plants Bred". On this latter tab is a Radio button "Add New Plant". Just click this and follow through. If it does not work please send a PM to me or HMF Admin.
