The same Westerland seedling (as shown in my journal of August 6) from 2018 a few days ago: Singularly beautiful!
Westerland (Shrub, Kordes, 1969)
One of the promising 2018 Westerland seedlings. Despite the hot and dry weather, this-one produced a warm bright-colored yellow flower. A bit sun-bitten (in stead of frost-bitten).
William Lobb (Moss, Laffay, 1855)
The still potted 2017 OP seedling looks very healthy and makes lots of shoots.
The only Austin Rose (and just one of the few at all), that is repeat/intermittent flowering in this hot, sunny and extended dry period, with drying Eastern and Northern winds blowing all the time. Today, we had about ten little drops of rain.
