It's dry, dry, dry over here and almost no fun for a rose-lover in the rose-garden. Grass has wilted and the few rose-flowers burn or dry out. Birch-trees are getting yellow leaves, that are shed... looking a bit like autumn. A few new seedlings of the ruined Westerland-shrub flower and look nice, but can't be potted because of the blazing Northern wind and blazing sunshine. No clouds and a shortage of rain. Dikes are even sprayed with water, to prevent cracks and break-troughs. I'm getting a tan and enjoy fishing... or better said sitting at the waterside and catching almost no carp. It's a bad year for carp-fishers too. But on the other hand, there is so much to enjoy in the Dutch landscape.
