This is not Opening Night for sure

I do believe it is... Was tagged as such from a very reputable nursery. This rose was growing in a semi-shady location but has since been removed from my gardens.

I'm definitely on Gardener side but I had experienced with some roses are not true to the name, possible mistake happen during labeled the bare roots. I'm also relied on name tags, sometimes disappointed when they bloom

Thank you! Good to hear from you again. I really enjoyed your updated photo of "Orange Morsdag" and how you have saved it from extinction. I wish you good luck with it. Last autumn, on request, we helped the local nursery to pick out roses for sale this season. Tomorrow, May 19th, we will help to sell them. The wages? Rose plants of course. We really look forward to it.

WOW all I can say is wow! So lush and framed perfectly by the gazebo entrance, beautiful!

Thank you again! Yes this was really facinating. I guess one of the smartest things I have done in my garden is to build the gazebo. In a country where you never know when it`s going to rain and when there will be sunshine, it is good to have roof over your head. I also plead guilty to being an outdoor freak, who takes every opportunity to spend time outdoors in my garden. In a country where winters are much to long, even though they are rather mild here at Lista(disregarding of course the last one); and consequently are confined mostly to indoor activities for months on end, it is really a must for me.(I hate skiing)

It almost sounds like you are describing where we live in Oregon :-) Our summers are relatively dry, but wet at any given moment the rest of the year. Looking online at the weather websites it seems we are about the same, all except for the wind of which we have little except during a storm. They list you having about 35 inches of rain a year and we have about 40 inches...
I also noticed looking at the maps (as the crow flies) you're not awfully far from where the Danish side of my family were from (they emigrated to the US in 1865). They were from Baelum Parish, Aalborg, N. Jutland, Denmark (if I'm not in the gardens I'm busy working on my genealogy - another addiction/passion of mine :-) I've always hoped one day to visit the area, it looks so beautiful from photos I've seen.
As to being an 'outdoor freak', yeah, I'm guilty too! And skiing - I've never tried but the kids (now adults) love it...

Congratulations, you seem to have done some good weather research! Since I didn`t notice any part of the sea in your photos, I figured you would live somewhere in the interior of the state, which is why I thought you would have colder winters. A member in Thunder Bay posed me a question about the weather here ,figuring it to be very cold, being in Norway. She wanted to try out climbers and ramblers like mine. I guess she was surprised to find out it was rather mild. We agreed on the Canadian Pacific Coast, around Vancouver or so, for comparison. Arvid
You are right. Aalborg is not very far from my place. As a matter of fact I am also of Danish decent. My paternal grandfather was Danish - from the island of Møn, south of Sealand. So if you are " in the neighbourhood" you are more than welcome at my place.

Thanks so much for the invite :-) Who knows, maybe one of these days I can get over that way! And of course if you are ever in 'my neck of the woods' please know you are also happily invited!

Thanks :-) This is the main garden in the back yard (again photo taken in the early morning) and where I am most every morning (weather permitting) while I have my cup or two of coffee and at dusk to enjoy the sunset...

Wow, this is beautiful! Imagine how Mother Nature never stops showering us with beautiful sights. The clouds filtering the sunshine make a beautiful and facinating spectacle. I will find a sunset photo from here and add to my initial post as it is not possible here. The light here at Lista is really something special. It never stops to facinate me.

Thank you! Your photo didn`t come up. They want to restrict photo uploading to garden photos only, and I can understand that. I had a feeling they would say so.

Yes this is a truly beautiful photo but we need to respectfully request you refrain from further posting of non-gardening specific photos.
HMF is member-community funded and we struggle to make ends meet and as such we can not afford to be a generic photo board like Flickr.
HelpMeFind is for gardening related photos only please. When we relaxed this rule in the past it led to an infusion of pet photos, photos of celebrities that had roses named after them, etc.
It costs HMF money when your photo is uploaded and each time it is displayed, it's a tiny amount but still HMF could never afford the data transfer costs of a generic photo website so we need to be mindful not to head down that path.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
