Moonfall, many thanks for your photos of ‘Bloomfield Dainty’ - they have generated much interest for me. May I ask what is the average size of an open bloom please.

The blossoms have a diameter of app. 8cm, some even 10.

Wow - it is growing. Early references say:
1916: one inch wide
1936: medium sized blooms
1940: two Inch, large blooms.
2019: you have 3.5 inches (or 9cm).

That's an interesting , and pretty, way to grow them, between two buildings.

The roses should create a more welcoming gateway. But it's not an easy place for them, less sunlight causes naked feet.
