Newburyport, MA, June 2013 - We have had this rose for two years. In that time she took over and destroyed a trellis (we replaced it this spring). No fragrance that we can tell, few if any hips, but this is a rose on steroids. In New England, she stays green all winter. Heavily pruned back this spring in order to remove old trellis and insert a new one.... that hasn't affected bloom, growth, or well, anything with this gal!

July 16, 2011 - it's been raining for several days in the Pacific North West - maximum day time temperatures 20C. In startk contrast to the sweltering heat experienced on the East coast. Even the bees are cowering and taking shelter.

Japanese Beetle season. Picked blooms for the vase August 4. Pink Evelyn is my best bloomer in alkaline clay, after Crown Princess Mag (orange), Poseidon (blue), and Lagerfeld (lavender) ... these are continuous bloomers, rather than separate flushes.
