QueenE resides in the sometimes humid, though temperate, days and cool, summer nights of Milwaukee, WI Zone 5 and helps with my parents' 8500 ft altitude Zone 3/4 CO mountain rose garden with feet of fortunate snow cover. I started out in 2015 with twelve $3 Queen Elizabeths which looked lighter in photos and less leggy than they do in real life. I'm on a quest to accent the QE hedge with complementary shorter rose bushes. I've had challenges with canker in spring and rust in late fall and hope better garden hygiene and overwintering practices, as well as the addition of non-bee-killing sprays and more rock solid varieties will help take my garden to the next level.
