I am a crazy rose nut growing 750 roses on a standard corner lot in San Diego, California. I have been here (in northern Mexico!) for 10 years and have grown roses in southern Oregon (with lots more room) and northern California. I live 13 miles from the ocean so don't get much marine influence but the weather is paradise for growing roses, they hardly get to rest all year. I belong to the San Diego Rose Society and the East County Rose Society and exhibit at shows and the fair. I am an ARS horticulture judge. I love floribundas best and am growing a number of roses on fortuniana, some fortuniana are even in (large) containers. My favorite rose is Just Joey although that is mostly sentimental.
