this rose is very healthy in my garden (Switzerland) I do not prune that much in order to have a big bush. New grows are coming out from the ground and it looks not prone to black spot. In my zone; if you pruned to heavily, long strong and heavy canes will grow and not many flowers will appear. It is a very reliable bush and not at all arching but also very floriferous plant. So if you are in the same zone of mine, 8, try to build the structure of the plant and you will have a lot of leaves, starting with dark red leaves and many many flowers. This is one of the easiest Austin roses to grow and with little care (I've never treated mine since 3 years) will give you a lot of success and its parfum is just incredible. The colour is a very classic rose, pretty big but very remontant if deadheading. It is not a plant to be considered as a special add in your garden because of the colour but it will give you a lot pleasure and big, very perfumed roses in your garden. I would say, it is a very reliable candidate for the backside of your collection. It is very easy to grow and do not ball during wet periods, a "must have" in all gardens.

Hello, I am looking for roses from the US, like the one from Ralph Moor and Paul Barden, do you think you could be able to obtain them for a delivery in Switzerland or at least in Europe? It seems quite impossible to obtain roses from the US for an individual rose lover like me...
Here are some of the roses I am looking for:
- Marianne
- Night Moss
- Fara Shimbo
- October Moon
- Won Fang Yon
- Wedding Cake
- Fakir's Delight
- Persian Autumn
-....
Thank you in advance for your reply.
Greatings from Switzerland!
Gerd

it looks like it might take a little to get established, mine is 2 y.o. and a little weak, hope to get an other flush of bloom this summer. the lilac-blue tones are so amazing! it doesn't have pink hints like many grey-lilac roses, the color and the bloom form remain elegant until the end even under rain conditions, very resistant to rust and mildew compared to my other roses which are all affected! (I do not use chemical treatments) it has a very light perfume, like many modern hybrid teas. big blooms, a nice add in the garden, combined with other pastel tones like Crown Princess Margareta, it displays a great show! it seams that blooms have more petals then Sissi and bear an old fashion style which looks great with Austin roses. I would highly recommend it for its desease resistance, dont' know yet if its a great performer as it do not respond well to rose food like my other roses. A true lilac rose without pink hints and which doesn't fade to grey when aging!

Bonjour, bonjour,
Toutes vos roses sont magnifiques. J'aime particulièrement "Grace" et "The Scotsman". "Gloire des mousseux" est très joli aussi.
Chez moi, "Rhapsodie in Blue" a fleurit également.

A bientôt.

Patrice
