I really like the blooms I get on Fragrant Plum, but the problem is that my bush doesn't bloom enough to satisfy me. It's blooms are nicely colored, formed, and wonderfully fragrant on long stems. The bush is very healthy, moderately vigorous, and winter hardy enough in my zone 6a garden in NW Missouri. However in its' first two years I will lay odds that I haven't seen more than a total of 10 blooms. Hopefully this third year its' vigor and floriferousness will improve, othewise I will have to shovel prune this one and replace it with something that will bloom more. John

Hello,
I just bough a rose at Wal-Mart called "Red Baron." There is a picture on the front of the package, but the colors in the picture seem too bright and it is really hard to tell whether or not this rose looks more red or orange. Does anyone have any pictures of this rose, or know of some place carrying it? It's not coming up in the Help Me Find directory. The description says this: "New for 2007 World Class Rose. Brilliant red orange shaded hybrid tea. Light fragrance with long stems for cutting. Petal count 30-35. PPRR."
The rose I have is dormant and it will be a while before it blooms.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Is it a Certified rose? If so there is a contact number for them here on HMF. Perhaps someone there could help. I have to agree, the pictures on the packages can be misleading.

I have had good luck by searching Google by the name of the rose I'm looking for . Best of luck finding out more. I do agree--pictures on labels can be misleading.

I agree with the previous posts. But, also, I think the color can sometimes depend on the weather. Some of my roses were shades different than I had anticipated......maybe it was just too dang hot where I was. I'm not sure. Good luck!

[I have uploaded three photos with this post, but I don't see them. maybe I've done something wrong.]
Can anyone help me identify this rose? It's a mini that I purchased at Walmart over 4 years ago. I have run it through the ringer (including uprooting it to move from Dallas to Chicago) and it just grows and grows. It's unbelievable and I love it. I has no scent and is almost a deep magenta or something. It's probably technically bright red. Can anyone help? Thanks so much! Angela M. Chicago, IL

I'm not sure how to do this.... I have this mini rose I bought at Walmart about 4 years ago. Although I adore roses and I had over 20 bushes at my previous address, this bush has been neglected to the point of true shame. My point is: NOTHING CAN KILL THIS PLANT!!!! It's the only bush I have left after moving from Dallas to Chicago. Yet, I left it outside, IN A POT, during the harshest winter temps here in years for over a week. I brought it inside when I realized what I had done, in a complete panic. Anyhow, this thing began to bud and grow about 3 days later (I'm not exaggerating!). I could not believe it! I've neglected this thing so badly that it's still in GARDEN soil in the pot with bermuda grass around it. [NOTE: I have purchased an new pot and some potting mix for replanting this weekend.] I love this rose bush, but I have no idea what it is. We call it our "Mini-insanous" (it's crazy!) because the bloom is so perfuse you can hardly find a cane in early spring and it doesn't drop leaves, always retaining green color no matter the weather. Any ideas? Thank you soooooooo much for your time. Angela
