I have extra cuttings ...a couple rooted ones, looking for noisettes, chinas, hybrid musks, or mini roses, modern mosses are cool , as are odd colors, please tempt me, I do not have room to keep multiples of this rose!!!!!!! I will trade a rooted rose for cuttings, fine by me just make it semi fair!

Since the closing of Nor East Mini roses, I have been asked "What minis do Best in Florida?"
I do not grow all mini roses, nor do I baby my roses. So, If I can get it to live, chances are you can also.

Out of 225 minis I bought at the end of Nor East's closing, these are the ones that have done best own root. All of these are still alive from the original plants, and doing pretty well. ( Remember these were received in July, in Tampa Bay ! ) The other minis I still have, but mostly, they are from cuttings, and not first generation in my garden. I guess this would be about the top 25 %.

Cl. Buckaroo. What can I say, mini climbers can fend for themselves, for the most part, bare root, in Florida.

Thanks To Sue Bred by Ralph S. Moore (United States, 2005) Apricot or apricot blend Mini-Flora, Patio still hanging on Aug. 2010. The first one is declining in health. But cuttings are all doing well so far.

Mr Blue Bird Bred by Ralph S. Moore (United States, 1960) Mauve or purple blend China / Bengale, Miniature Hardy to put it mildly, well, at least for my area. Takes the humidity. Tye ? Not the best rose for here when it comes to blackspot, but when it does not have blackspot it does half way well.

Cl. Earthquake Bred by Ralph S. Moore (United States, 1983). striped, took a good year to start putting on size. i guess it is true in this case, the saying First year they sleep second year they creep 3rd year they leap!

Sharon's Delight Bred by Ralph S. Moore (United States, 1996)
Kathy Ralph S. Moore (1970) almost thornless, not the prettiest of Ralph's roses in my opinion. But having Magic Wand in it's breeding seems to be a plus. Does pretty well for me around larger roses.
Red Cascade Bred by Ralph S. Moore (United States, 1976) climber What can I say about this rose? Will never be my favorite, but I do not think you can find a much easier rose to grow IF it grows for you. Mine has been ran over by a mower ...clipped with a weed eater, had a trellis fall on it at least 3 or 4 times. Loves abuse. Can be kept as a mound, that will sprawl a little or can easily cover a trellis or cascade down as I have seen it planted at the University of Southern Florida Lakeland Campus. Dr. Malcolm Manners has some nice ones on the campus!
Green Ice commonly grown mini. Good little rose. Sucker for Green Roses ... just would love some green stripes
Celebrate Life Orange blend Miniature. Cheery little rose for lack of a better term. A later Ralph Moore introduction.
