I recently purchased a miniature rose with the name Renata. It's a Parade rose from Poulsen with the copy right Poulpar 059. I found it listed at the distributors site.
http://www.agl.ca/product.php?nv=75&prod=17&act=p7menu1
but I don't see it listed here. Does anyone have any information on this rose?

How do you pronounce the name of this rose? Does this rose do well in hot climates which has been our climate the last two years here in Oklahoma City!

I believe it's pronounced Ma-ree-ka but I'm not positive.
I'm a zone cooler but it does very well in the heat of my summer. We can go into the low 100s some days and this rose does not seem to fry or dry up. The petals are quite substantial.

It is a Dutch name. The "ij" in Marijke sounds almost like the "Ei" in the German Eisen (for Iron).
"ke" at the end of the name means little... so Little Marij (from Maria) Almost 18.000 girls and woman carry that first name in the Netherlands.
The double "oo" in Koopman almost sounds like the "oe" in Joe. And "man" sounds like the German "Mann" in the town Mannheim.

Nice photo. I like mine too. Was thrilled when it made through the winter, was worried I hadn't planted it deep enough last spring. Our winter temperatures can drop to -20C here in Kamloops BC, Canada.

Thank you, LeaTea! Glad to hear yours winters well. This was it's first winter here but it looks like mine did very well too. Lots of green cane and leaf buds fattening.

American Pride is a red rose. This one seems to be mismarked -- form is different (better), as is the color (pink, not red).

I know the color is off in this photo. In reality it was much redder. My camera doesn't do red very well ,particularly in very bright sunlight. As to the form I agree, this is amazingly good form for this rose but it didn't last long! Subsequent photos of this bloom do show the more typical form. Not my favorite rose by any means.
Thanks for your interest!
