With Phillip Robinson, I created Vintage Gardens, a nursery specializing in a broad collection of old and modern roses. Our nursery began in 1984 after each of us had been collecting old roses for about 10 years. My passion is rose preservation, and to that end I have worked with the Heritage Rose Foundation since its inception to further its goals of education and preservation. I have been a long time member of the Heritage Roses Group as well as of the ARS and the Royal National Rose Society of Britain. I currently serve as Vice President of the HRF, and have worked with the group of editors who created and produce Rosa Mundi, Journal of the HRF.
