Bred by Joseph Pernet-Ducher (France, before 1929).
Introduced in France by Jean-Marie Gaujard in 1931 as 'Madame Raymond Gaujard'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1934 as 'Madame Raymond Gaujard'.

Bloom:
Red to purple, copper shading, yellow undertones, ages to copper .  Can bloom yellowish cream in very sunny locations!.  Mild to strong fragrance.  Very large, very double, borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long buds.

Upright.

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
